Foxtel in general has really gone downhill and no one in customer service knows what they are doing. But at least the technician was good and I would rate him highly. The connection was much more complex than customer service made out to be. It’s essential.

Satellite TV allows you to receive satellite signals through your satellite dish. If you do not have a satellite dish installed then you will need to arrange for satellite dish installation. A set-top box or satellite-enabled television is also needed to decode the signals received. The services are transmitted from an earth station to a set of geostationary satellites. These signals are then returned to earth and allow you to enjoy your favourite TV shows!
Freesat is a free-to-air satellite TV service – allowing you to enjoy 100 entertainment channels and 20 HD channels without having to pay for a monthly subscription. Satellite TV itself is free however if you do not have a set-top box or satellite dish then you will need to pay for the initial installation. Some Smart TVs are satellite-enabled without the need for a set-top box. There are also subscription-based Satellite TV services available but the choice is yours!
It can be highly frustrating when you are getting zero or limited signal from your satellite dish. There are a number of reasons as to why you may not receive signals such as blockages from trees or other obstructions, damage to your satellite dish or damage over time. However, there are often cases where clients come to us and they have just moved in to find that their TV aerial or television point is not working.
